Costco Massage Chairs?

costco massage chairs

Since this is a pretty broad subject, I’ll pour out my two cents and hopefully you can save a dollar out of it. Ba dum tss.

Let’s quickly talk about Costco and massage chairs.

Costco does have online only massage chairs, typically around the $2,000 to $4,000 range. Just like I’ve mentioned in some of my previous posts, these are not the ones I would personally recommend. However, I will give Costco credit where credit is due.

Their return policy is much more reassuring than what you may find with some online only massage chair companies. I have personally heard from someone who successfully returned a massage chair to Costco. That said, they described the scheduling and communication during the return process as anything but easy.

Costco Roadshows? I Like This.

Costco also works with reputable massage chair brands and brings in different brands for seasonal roadshows where you can actually sit down and try the massage chair before buying it.

Kudos to Costco for this!

This is exactly the idea we encourage at Orlando Luxury Massage Chairs.

Try before you buy.

A massage chair is a big purchase. You should actually sit in it, feel the massage, test the fit and see whether you like it before spending thousands of dollars.

What About White Glove Delivery?

Sometimes Costco roadshow purchases also include white glove delivery, which is another big plus.

The thing I would pay attention to is that the delivery and installation are handled by a third party.

If your delivery is simple, you may have no problem at all. But if you have a second floor, a narrow hallway, tight turns or a complicated assembly situation, I strongly recommend talking to the representative and making sure everything is actually doable.

Even if the salesperson tells you everything should be fine, the third party installation team may see the situation differently when they arrive.

And if they decide they cannot do it, you may be out of luck.

This is one area where I believe a local showroom like Orlando Luxury Massage Chairs has a real advantage.

You can text us pictures. You can call us. We can discuss your doorway, stairs and room layout before delivery. In certain situations, we can even pre inspect the home so we know what we are getting into before we show up with a very large and very expensive massage chair.

That personal touch matters.

What Brands Does Costco Carry?

The brands I have seen Costco collaborate with include Human Touch, BodyFriend, Infinity, Osaki and Fujiryoki, although the selection can change depending on the season and location.

I actually like this selection quite a bit because several of these are brands we work with directly at Orlando Luxury Massage Chairs, and I can personally vouch for the quality of their chairs and massage technology.

Costco also sells other massage chairs online from various brands, but remember that availability changes.

Disclaimer: Costco roadshow brands and models can change by season. What you see available today may not be available by the time you read this.

My Honest Take

Overall, I like Costco.

I respect the fact that they bring reputable massage chair brands into their stores and give customers an opportunity to actually try the chairs before buying. That makes a big difference when you are spending several thousand dollars on a massage chair.

The online only chairs? Not really my thing.

But hey, business is business.

As long as a company keeps things ethical and makes sense for the customer, it will always have my respect.

And yes, I am an Executive Member at Costco.

That should speak for itself. LOL.
